The next game we’ll see is Destiny 2, according to Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg, who’s in New York this week to speak at a conference on the industry.
We don’t know when it will be out yet, Hirshburg told IGN, but “we’re excited about the future.”
The studio announced Destiny 2 last year, and it’s a sequel to the popular game.
It’s still a very early stage in development, but it looks like it’s heading into the summer.
The game’s still in Early Access, which means the developers can’t do anything about the bugs and issues that were revealed during that period.
Hirshberg did say that Destiny 2’s release date will be revealed at the end of June.
Destiny 2 was announced at the Game Developers Conference earlier this year, but that didn’t include a release date.
The studio says that the game will launch “in the coming weeks.”
It’s not just Destiny 2 that Hirshagberg is excited about.
Activision also has the next installment in its Destiny franchise, Destiny: The Taken King, and the publisher is working on a new title.
The next Destiny game will likely launch during the first quarter of 2018, but Hirshogberg didn’t say how much longer that would be.
